Web site FAQ

Q: I'm a leader and I just listed a ride, but it isn't showing up.
A: When you list a ride, it goes into the queue for the Day Trips Coordinators to review and approve. Once they approve the ride listing, it will show up in the calendar and on the Day Trips list for all to view. If they have any questions or concerns, they will reach out directly to you to discuss.

Q: My address/phone number/emergency contact is incorrect. What do I do?
A: You should login, go to your profile and update the information so it's correct.

Q: I don't want to share my contact details with anyone, including other club members.
A: You have the ability to decide what details in your profile you want to share. Just login, go to your profile, and update the information.

Q: My user name is listed on the site as my full given name, but I go by a nickname. Can I have my user name adjusted?
A: As long as it's your accepted nickname and it's recognizable by other members to identify you, then you can request the Membership Coordinator change your name for you. Your login will adjust to use the new name, as well.

Q: I want to be able to view and post on the forum, but I don't seem to have access even though I'm logged in.
A: Your annual membership dues must be paid in order to access certain areas of the website, such as the forum, the cue-sheet library, and the Bicycletter repository.

Q: Do I have to register for rides I want to join?
A: No, registering for rides is an optional feature, although some rides may note in the description that registering is mandatory (such as the Montauk Century). You do need to be a member to register but do you need to register in order to ride. There are benefits to registering, such as communication from the leader if there are updates or changes to the ride and time savings at the beginning of the ride, since the sign-in sheet will already be populated with registered name/phone number/emergency contact info for registered riders.
