Grimm Artisanal Ales - East Williamsburg
CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER!!!
This is the kick off ride for the Friday Night Brewery Series for 2019. Depending upon the popularity of this series - we anticipate other similar rides to experience some great beer. Chris and Mel have selected breweries that we believe pour some amazing suds. We hope that you agree.
Grimm Artisanal Ales is a Brooklyn-based brewery founded in 2013 by Joe and Lauren Grimm after nearly a decade of tinkering with fermentation. Grimm specializes in concise, elegant ales epitomizing the creative, experimental spirit of the American artisanal beer revolution. With each limited edition release, Grimm seeks to push the boundaries of style and flavor in order to create beers with the utmost depth and complexity. For five years, Grimm operated as a nomadic brewery. Joe and Lauren would develop each recipe in the kitchen of their Gowanus apartment and travel to existing breweries near and far to craft their commercial beers. In June 2018, they opened their permanent location in the East Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY.
Like all Brewery Rides with the 5BBC, this is a one way ride, and there is nearby subway transportation. Mileage listed is just to the brewery - if you ride back to Grand Army Plaza the total mileage will be 14. Be aware, that if you ride back following the Brewery - even with a 5BBC Leader - the ride back is NOT a club ride. All members are expected to be adults and to imbibe appropriately.
Take - Lights [it's a night ride - duh], lock, and a thirst for amazing locally brewed beer.
