NEW & FREE—QUIK CHECK BIKE PROGRAM 

Prepare your bike properly for event day! Be good to yourself and your 2-wheeled “steed”; start the 5BBC Montauk Century adventure knowing you’ve taken the time to do it right! This applies both to cyclists who might not ride regularly (perhaps you don’t recall previous issues, nor realize what’s developed over time) as well as to active cyclists (everyone can be helped by occasional tweaks, replacements, upgrades).

Here’s one way - - our new 5BBC MONTAUK CENTURY QUIK CHECK !

Don’t delay!  Have a safety once-over by a trained mechanic. Be there during the check, plus stroll around the shop. Pssst - - don’t wait ‘till the last minute; that stresses you and the shops. It’s also smart to arrive when shops are less busy; that’s a great way to get more time/attention (mornings; OR call the shop and ask!).

HOW IT WORKS   Three very experienced local bicycle shops are sponsoring our 5BBC Montauk Century “QUIK CHECK” bicycle program during the following time periods:

Bring your event bike in, and a trained mechanic will perform the QUIK CHECK (one per registrant). You MUST have along proof of event registry to receive that and any promotional discounts; you MUST print/bring your emailed confirmation from active.com. Bike checks will be done on an “as available” basis (no appointments). The mechanic will suggest what needs to be done, or fixed, or to improve your ride; you will be responsible for authorizing such, and any labor/parts involved are on your account.
