Montauk Century Sunday May 15, 2011

Online registration has closed, but you can register Sunday morning at our check-in locations at Penn Station and Babylon for $110 (cash only) + $25 for optional return transportation.

The Tradition Continues
For over forty years, the month of May has meant the 5BBC Montauk Century bicycle tour. Our riders enjoy bike friendly low-traffic routes and beautiful back road scenery. The tour has two check-in locations and three start lines, with route distances of 65, 100, and 145 miles. All routes end at the same finish line in Montauk, where you'll enjoy a hot buffet meal and a hot shower.

Basics
We provide in-depth SAG (Support and Gear) with vans, trucks and even 55 passenger busses in case you need help along the way. Besides the buffet at the finish line, we have six rest stops along the route, loaded with gourmet snacks in addition to the usual energy snacks!

An Escorted Metric Century Tour
Along with the other basics, we provide a 65 mile group ride, escorted by trained 5BBC leaders at no extra cost. This is a relaxed pace (12 13 mph) ride - perfect if this is your first long distance ride.

Training Rides
To help you get ready for the tour, we also provide a series of free training rides, starting in March.

The Montauk Century Weekend
If you’d like to ride the entire 145-mile route but would rather not do it in one day, the 5BBC offers an optional two-day Montauk Century Weekend mini vacation.
