About the Five Borough Bicycle Club
The Five Borough Bicycle Club is a nonprofit
association, encouraging people to enjoy the sport
of non-competitive recreational cycling.
The club is located at the New York
International HI-AYH Hostel, along with the
HI-AYH-affiliated Ski Club of New York.
Bicycle club programs include bicycle trips,
education, and special events.
General Meetings are open to the public and
usually held monthly. Please check the Bicycletter
and the website for exact dates and locations.You
can also contact the Programs Coordinator at
programs@5BBC.org.
Executive Board Meetings, which are open to
club members who have contacted the club
president prior to the meeting, are usually held
on the first Monday of each month.
Bicycle club membership is $20, or $25 for 2
members of the same household, and is valid
through December 31.
Membership initiated after October 1 is valid
through December 31 of the next year.
Submissions to the Bicycletter are heartily
encouraged, on CDs, flash drives or even those
3.5” diskettes, accompanied by hard copy; or
email newsletter@5BBC.org. Please limit
articles to 500 words. Classified ads are free to
members.

Deadlines for submissions to the Bicycletter are
usually the first day of the month prior to the
issue. The deadline for submissions for the
September-October 2007 issue is Monday, 6 August, 2007.
