November - December 2006

Our fall program continues this month with some new rides and some old favorites.
November trips include a century ride up the North County Trail to Carmel (11/5) and back,
a reprise of our training ride to Northvale, NJ (11/12), and a post thanksgiving trip to Canarsie (11/25). When December rolls around so do our Frostbite rides. Note that there is a relatively new “Frostbite Ride #0”, to the Broadway Diner in Summit, on November 19th.
This December also marks the return of the popular Temperature Regulators rides and our new series, Freezer Burn. Whether you’re embarking on a short trip or a longer distance, you should still be prepared for cold weather. As long as you’ve got a few layers on top and thick tights, you’ll be fine. Investing in booties and winter gloves will keep you ready for riding in the cold.
Still not sure you’re ready to ride in the winter? Check the weather before a ride. If the ride description does not explicitly indicate it, it will not be cancelled unless it is raining, or if the morning temperature is under 32F.
Happy Holidays!
